Job Summary:
The Sales Account Manger interacts with Nuvotronics customers, manages sales activities, and develops relationships with our customers. Sales is responsible for developing accounts (customer companies), ensuring customers are satisfied with our products and services, and engages in activities that result in new sales opportunities.
Additionally, the sales account manager is responsible for communicating customer needs to all relevant individuals and departments within Nuvotronics.
Nuvotronics is looking for an experienced sales account manager with Defense, SATCOM, and RF sales experience to support our directly supported customers in California and the Westcoast region of the USA. The responsibilities of the sales account manager include maintaining client relationships, overseeing the sales process, and acting as the point of contact for all customer related activities.
Ability to logically navigate complex issues with many moving parts. Must have good management, communication, and analytical skills. Interpersonal skills necessary to interact in extremely delicate, sensitive and/or complex situations. Ability to deal with time driven deliverables, and stressful situations. Proven ability to build strong collaborative business relationships, develop and implement a sales strategy and drive revenue objectives.
To be successful as a sales account manager, the individual should demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, knowledge of Customer Relation Management (CRM) software, can manage multiple tasks at once, and deliver on commitments. Ultimately, a quality sales account manager should demonstrate great customer service skills, strong business acumen, and problem-solving skills.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities (what you will do):
- Identifies new and expanded business opportunities within a geographic region.
- Develops and implements customer sales engagement strategies.
- Monitors and analyzes sales activity against goals.
- Provides input for accurate and realistic bookings forecast estimates.
- Develops and maintains contacts with customers.
- Develops information used for new business proposals, product specifications, statements of work and systems requirements.
- Recommend application and/or modification of Company products to satisfy customer requirements.
- Confers with customer technical representatives and management to determine and interpret customer requirements
- Improves competitive position by recommending new applications of systems, providing information on the technical development of systems, and assisting in program planning.
- Keeps track of potential sales opportunities and marketing efforts of competitor firms.
- Participates in the preparation of the strategic plan.
- Work collaborative with other internal departments (Product Management, Operations, )
- Submits and maintain Salesforce with up-to-date sales activities and customer account information.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Five or more years of technical sales experience.
- Four-year college degree or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in Defense, SATCOM, RF Products industry is highly desirable.
- Experience in business development/sales to an engineering community required
- Experience developing technical hardware specifications through a consultative process with customers.
- Demonstrable & successful track record of sales goals attainment.
- Experience in strategic planning and execution.
- Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management.
- Knowledge of developing and managing sales goals and revenue expectations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel as required (~50%, varies by region).
- Ability to prioritize work, complete multiple tasks, and work under deadlines.
(California only***) Targeted full-time [salary/hourly] range between $151,485 - $211,597 + benefits.
