PURPOSEĀ
Ascend Technologies is currently seeking an Office 365/Azure Engineer to support our clients. This role will provide escalated support and operational maintenance to client cloud environments, including Microsoft Services across the Azure and Office 365 suite. This role will also work on project-based initiatives for clients, including upgrades to existing infrastructure and deployment of new technology.Ā
RESPONSIBILITIESĀ

Analyze each client's specific request and determine the underlying problem and recommend proper solutionĀ

In-depth skills administering O365 and supporting Microsoft email platforms, including Exchange Server in a hybrid configurationĀ
-
Manage Microsoft Volume Licenses, EA and ReservationĀ
-
In-depth experience baselining & configuring OneDrive, Teams, Sharepoint, Conditional Access controls, and MFAĀ
-
Design, develop, and implement cloud-based solutions using Microsoft AzureĀ
-
Implement and manage virtual servers (Hyper-V/VMware)Ā
-
Server administration ā Drive expansion, Root cause analysisĀ
-
Administration of Azure Active directory/Entra ADĀ
-
Support applications and functions in Azure CloudĀ
-
Monitor new developments and emerging Cloud technology trends and identify new products with potential benefit to Ascend clients with in-depth research of each productĀ

Participate in the design, implementation and administration of Cloud-based platform solutions working alongside architects and other teams to ensure current and future business requirements are consideredĀ

Partner with Information Security/Cybersecurity to ensure infrastructure solutions comply with Cloud security standardsĀ

Troubleshoot InTune and other MDM solution experienceĀ

Serve as escalation point for the Ascend Technologies Network Operations Center (NOC) and support engineers for questions and complex issue resolutionĀ
Ā MINIMUM SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
-
Bachelorās Degree in a technical field preferred. Computer Science, MIS or equivalent.Ā

Prefer 5+ years of professional IT experience in a client facing role plus 2+ years of experience supporting O365, Exchange online, Sharepoint, Teams and AzureĀ

Ability to function on application and technical tasks with little or no supervisionĀ

Adapt when required to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity and rapid changeĀ

Strong communication skills to be able to work with clients and assist non-technical users with troubleshooting remotelyĀ

Proven excellence in decision making when multiple alternatives are presentedĀ

Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skillsĀ

Effectively works with team members, motivating them in difficult situationsĀ

Microsoft (MCSE), AZ-500 certifications preferredĀ
-
Advanced PowerShell scripting experienceĀ
Salary Expectations: $80,000
