OB Hospitalist - Opportunity

Trinity Health Medical Group (THMG) is seeking a full time (1.0 FTE) certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist Physician to join our OB Hospitalist Team located in Muskegon, Michigan.

• Provide in-house coverage and total management for obstetric patients including labor and delivery, obstetric emergencies and postpartum care
• Collaborate with obstetricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
• On-site access to a Level II NICU
• Teach and supervise OB/GYN residents (active OB residency clinic), medical students, and fellows
• Rotating schedule - 24 hour shifts 7am-7am, usually 6-7 shifts per month. Holidays are rotated
• GYN surgical experience required
• Shifts include hours of direct patient care (rounding, entering orders, triaging maternal patients, attending deliveries, manage unassigned OB patients, covering emergency GYN patients and educating residents/students)
• 1 OB hospitalist on duty per shift; will work alongside experienced labor & delivery RNs, NICU APP and will have access to a social worker
• Minimum of 2 weekend days (Saturday or Sunday) per month

Qualifications:

• Experience required - must be comfortable with all aspects of OB and GYN surgery
• Physicians must be board certified in their specialty, or board eligible and will become board certified within 2 years of becoming board eligible.
• State of Michigan license required at time of employment
• DEA license
• BLS certified
