Summary:

North Side Properties Development Company, an affiliate for Mistick Construction is searching for an Occupancy Specialist that is responsible for managing all aspects of the recertifications required to be compliant with HUD and the low-income tax credit housing process.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain occupancy and program compliance by processing annual and interim recertification 50059s and TICs in compliance with company guidelines, local, state, and federal regulations. The Occupancy Specialist position takes the lead role on recertifications.
• Interact with current and prospective residents to achieve maximum occupancy.
• Inspect the units of residents during their month of recertification for compliance with REAC standards.
• Ensure maximum compliance percentage and work with supervisor to resolve any issues.
• Review, prioritize, and distribute resident service requests.
• Conduct various administrative and office support tasks.
• Perform all duties while generating interest and enthusiasm about the property by creating an exceptional customer experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong knowledge of LIHTC regulations and project-based Section 8 residential properties
• Well-developed administrative skills
• Strong written and verbal skills
• Organized and team oriented
• Ability to work well independently and prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications:

• Experience and knowledge of LIHTC regulations
• Experience and knowledge of HUD Section 8
• Ability to maintain accuracy and compliance through high volume of recertifications
• Superb attention to detail
• Must have a driver’s license
