RER Solutions, Inc., is accepting resumes for a Policy Advisor to join our superior workforce in Washington, DC. The Policy Advisor will support The?Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED)'s mission to deliver clean energy demonstration projects at scale in partnership with the private sector to accelerate deployment, market adoption, and the equitable transition to a decarbonized energy system.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support DOE's recently announced demand-side support initiative
• Make program design recommendations to senior DOE and other USG management through presentations and written materials and presentations
• Engage with the private sector and the policy community to explain and gather feedback on demand-side support initiatives
• Support conducting market research and analysis to shape DOE demand-side support initiatives to best catalyze clean energy deployment with an initial focus on clean hydrogen
• Track, review, analyze, and report on legislation and policy matters that will affect DOE's demand-side support initiatives
• Develop familiarity and expertise in clean energy project finance to support briefings on demand-side program to policy stakeholders and to inform program design

Requirements

• Minimum of US Citizenship required to obtain client-issued Public Trust
• 2+ years of experience in policy role (e.g., Congressional office, think tank, research)
• Experience in Energy or natural resources desired
• Excellent ability to understand and synthesize information into the most important takeaways
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and an understanding of fundamental business writing
• Expertise in Microsoft Office Products (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree
