OEM Account Director
Job Description:
Primary responsibility for managing the largest and most complex OEM customer accounts within Allison (typically top 5 global OEM customers by revenue) and ensuring that we maintain and grow our business, while seeking new product release opportunities with the assigned OEM customer(s). The OEM Account Director would be responsible for the development and execution of the strategic elements of their OEM sales plans necessary to achieve Allison's growth objectives. Responsibilities would also include providing input into the development of the market demand forecast and SOP sales demand forecast. This individual will be the leader for the relationship between Allison and the OEM, and may have supervisory responsibility for an OEM Technical Sales Manager that would provide support for managing the customer.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS*:
- Support assigned OEM's during the release, pricing, promotion phase of transmission and other product introduction, design and development
- Develop relationships with all levels of key OEM management including senior executives at major corporations
- Lead negotiations, internally and externally, on comprehensive long-term agreements
- Drive sales volume and growth to achieve Business Plan Objectives established
- Support Allison regional sales teams, distributor and channel personnel with OEM management and impact responsibilities (as needed)
- Represent Allison at OEM events, Industry trade shows, exhibits, associations and meetings
- Support development of sales and marketing plans for the commercial vehicle market in partnership with the OEM
- Provide input to monthly/annual forecasts and support Sales and Operations Planning Meetings for assigned OEM's
- Present opportunities to increase market growth/development with target vocations, releases and strategic partnership opportunities with OEM's
- Manage use of sales allowances, marketing budget, and other incentive programs
- Provide industry update of competitive opportunities and threats
- Work with cross functional teams at the OEM and Allison to provide exceptional OEM and end-user support
- Other duties as determined periodically

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience; MBA preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
REQUIRED:
- 10 Years of experience
- Ability to relocate (if needed)
- Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written)
- Previous relevant sales and marketing, customer support experience or related Allison experience
- Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams
- Highly driven / self-motivated and independent
- Ability to demonstrate functional and technical excellence
- Ability to work collaboratively across all functions to achieve sales objectives and goals
- Ability to travel on a regular basis for company business
- Ability to build valued business relationships
- Organized, detail oriented, and ability to manage multiple priorities
