Job Description

The OEM Sales Manager position is responsible for the direct management of major OEM accounts in the Recreational, Construction, and Industrial Markets. The OEM Sales Manager is the champion for their customer, bringing opportunities and projects to the Business Development and Engineering Teams. The OEM Sales Manager must have a technical background due to the highly engineered system sales that Enovation Controls sells into. The OEM Sales Manager will report directly to the Director of Sales, with oversight and direct interaction to the Managing Director and Chief Commercial Officer.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage large OEM relationships, including managing the current book of business and bringing new opportunities to the table.
  • Work with Product Engineering, Application Engineering, and Key Account Managers to deliver technical solutions to engine and battery driven equipment.
  • Must be able to present the value proposition of Enovation Controls and its products, present to large groups, and attend trade shows.
  • Understand and actively help to refine and influence customer expectations, needs & specifications
  • Participate in regular OEM project calls, managing the commercial topics and verifying we are meeting technical requirements
  • Develop and execute lead generation programs
  • Forecast monthly sales to meet reporting expectations
  • Develop long term agreements and contracts with major OEM Customers


Requirements

Education

Minimum Bachelor of Science degree, preferably Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

Experience and Skills

  • Minimum of two years of professional experience in Technical Sales
  • Minimum of one-year Technical Application preferred
  • Successful track record of sales and customer interface in technical marketplace
  • 50%+ travel required, some international travel possible
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of Technical Sales function,
  • Must have a sound understanding of principles and concepts in Sales & Marketing and a basic understanding of other functional areas
  • Excellent negotiating skills and ability to close.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude
  • Ability to interact regularly with internal functions and external customers to provide a range of information and/or services
  • Ability to work independently under general direction, within the parameters of company policies and procedures
  • Ability to perform well under pressure generated by day-to-day demands of existing customers
