Summary
The Office 365 Administrator will manage and update a common collaboration SharePoint platform, which will facilitate the flow of information, standardize data storage, and ensure data integrity through various protection mechanisms.
The Office 365 Administrator will build SharePoint sites from standard templates; this includes the ability to design, develop, test, release and troubleshoot sites, pages, and applications, and be responsible for maintaining the layout, visual appearance, and usability of SharePoint sites. The administrator will work with business owners to design and develop content that meets business needs while maintaining corporate standards. The administrator will be responsible for all related maintenance of content and functionality components. The Office 365 Administrator identifies new areas and business processes where SharePoint can be leveraged and will design, develop, and implement end-to-end solutions that affect a positive change to business processes, and improve collaboration, productivity, and knowledge sharing.
The Office 365 Administrator may be asked to assist system administrators by helping with trouble tickets that come into the IT group to include login issues, new user creation, and account offboarding, along with day-to-day help with administration and engineering tasks. Additionally, the SharePoint administrator will assist in developing and enforcing standards, policies, and procedures for content and data classification, management, and security.
A candidate will possess strong business-to-technology translation skills, which are essential for investigating emerging SharePoint uses and identifying ways to apply such solutions to help SDI increase business value and performance. A candidate must have a strong emphasis on security, data protection and data governance methodologies using tools such as M365 Admin Portal and other Microsoft third-party tools.

Responsibilities
- Leads Office 365 upgrade tasks under the direction of a Solution Architect.
- Supports daily operations including Active Directory management, troubleshooting, capacity management, patching, upgrades, and performance monitoring.
- Administer and monitor all aspects of SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive security, including user permissions at the system level supporting O365 applications using Microsoft
- Manage end-user O365 accounts, permissions, and access rights in accordance with corporate policies and best practices while maintaining privacy and security standards
- Develop and document, plan, implement, and maintain provisioning, de-provisioning, and rights management processes
- Develop and present best practices in the use of Teams, SharePoint, and Office 365 Platform Services across all organizational levels
- Establish best practices and recommendations for use of centralized data repositories across all interfaces
- The design governance structure for O365 groups includes the use of SharePoint and Teams for both internal account teams and sharing with partners and clients. Administer O365 groups and user access to the system
- Provide guidance, training (including the development of training materials), and support to departments and users for document management, permission management, and the effective use of SharePoint and O365 collaboration applications
- Analyze and resolve current Production application issues
- Provide expertise and support to business managers and other members of IT to determine how to best implement, support, and use SharePoint solutions.
- Composes clear and concise system documentation and reports.
- Performs Microsoft Windows software installation, configuration, troubleshooting.
- Utilizes tools for efficient deployment, management, software metering and inventory reporting of workstations across multiple facilities.
- Assists in improving overall security posture, including improved asset management, and creating server hardening standards.
- Administers and maintains Group Policy Management with experience delivering various application/OS configuration settings, network drives and printers.
- Administers and maintains DHCP and DNS.
- Administers and maintains server hardware across multiple facilities.
Requirements
- Applicant should have a 4-year degree (or equivalent technical certifications)
- Office 365 upgrade experience.
- 5+ years Active Directory and Windows Server administration experience.
- 5+ years' experience administering and maintaining servers, backup operations, and systems monitoring in multiple environments.
- 5+ years' experience with server & desktop upgrades, OS, and firmware patching.
- 5+ year of experience maintaining and administering virtualized server environment.
- Technical experience or one of the following certifications: MCITP or MCSE.
- Familiarity with a multitude of Active Directory, health tools and utilities for managing, monitoring, and troubleshooting Windows server infrastructure and networks.
- Experience with PowerShell for Active Directory, Office, and workstation management.
- Expert troubleshooting and diagnostic skills providing support to operations personnel.
- Experience in maintaining and updating run-book documentation.
- Ability to prioritize multiple assigned tasks and execute parallel tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with data security related to email and file access.
- Must be able to analyze and identify root-cause resolution of end-user hardware and software problems in a timely manner.
- Must be able to perform duties with minimal supervision and participate in cross-functional projects as scheduled.
- Experience overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Direct experience with supporting end users with SharePoint related inquiries and issues
- Experience in Requirements Gathering and Documentation
