We are seeking an experienced Office and Culture Associate to support our team’s experience at MERIT. In this role you will be responsible for the in-office experience and management of our office in Midtown, plan and manage team events, assist with team engagement initiatives, new employee onboarding and orientation. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for fostering a positive work environment. Responsibilities:
- Manage office operations; manage office vendors, deliveries, and oversee repairs
- Assist in managing the experience for the NY office team; coordinate in-person team events and gatherings
- Assist in planning and executing our annual company retreat
- Provide support in new hire onboarding for managers and new team members
- In conjunction with VP of People, work closely on collecting team feedback and partner on delivering and actioning on engagement surveys
- Coordinate deliveries for gratis team gifting and send-outs
- Own the weekly lunch/breakfast offering and delivery
- Celebrate team birthdays and life events
- Own monthly communication with the full-time team on monthly people happenings; events, learning and development opportunities, holidays, reviews, and anything else people related
- Support the people team in other HR and office projects as needed
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience of work experience within office operations, with prior experience managing office vendors, work orders, maintenance requests, etc.Â
- Knowledge of operating an independent office and proactively identifying office related needs and fixes
- Prior experience of planning and managing company events from end to end with little oversight
- Experience and an interest in growing a career within the human resources field
- A high attention to detail and follow-through skills
- A record of operating with good judgment and leveraging creative problem-solving skill
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- An ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels within an organization
This role requires 3 days in office (Tuesday-Thursday) and other days as business requires.
We are proud to offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits package in addition to salary compensation. The annual salary for this role is up to $70,000 in addition to bonus potential, stock options, a 401(k) match, health benefits, paid time off and more. The final salary will be determined based on a variety of factors, including the individual's experience and qualifications.
