MycoWorks is seeking an Office Assistant to manage the company’s Union, SC office and provide administrative assistance to our South Carolina-based executive leaders. The Office Assistant’s primary responsibilities are the efficient and strategic management of the Union office, and providing administrative assistance, including expense reporting, coordinating site visits and meetings, travel, calendaring and communications. This position is a unique opportunity to work closely with the MycoWorks leadership team during a dynamic period of growth.Â
Responsibilities:
- Manage supplies, services, maintenance, security, and vendors at the Union, SC office
- Partner with the Culture and People teams to serve as an ambassador and leader for MycoWorks workplace culture in Union
- Coordinate and support meetings or site visits at the Union office or the local MycoWorks facility under constructionÂ
- Provide administrative and executive support to the COO and VP of Manufacturing, including scheduling, booking travel and accommodations, and expense reporting
- Handle multiple requests utilizing strong judgment in managing priority of requests, escalating as necessary for resolution
- Manage multiple expense accounts
- Help support cross-functional alignment within the organization
- Help create and maintain communication within the team and broader org
- Adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
Required Qualifications:
- Two to three years of experience performing administrative and/or executive support duties
- Strong emotional intelligence and communication skills (verbal, written, active listening)
- Strong self-starter that can take a task and run with it with limited supervision from executiveÂ
- Acute attention to detail
- Proactive and helping in anticipating problems and/or needs of executives
- Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and exercise strong judgment
- Creative problem-solver
- Self-motivated, flexible, friendly, and professional
- Excellent calendar management skills, including the coordination of complex meetings across multiple time zones
- Strong proficiency with G Suite and Zoom
- Facility with using and learning digital communication and task management platforms.
- Availability to perform job duties outside of normal business hours when necessary
- High level of integrity and professionalism
- Knowledge and familiarity with Union, Union County, and the upstate area
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project management experience
- Corporate travel
- Experience in using Lattice, Slack and Monday.comÂ
- Concur or similar expense reporting software
