Among the many responsibilities of this generalist role, will be to provide a positive first impression as the initial point of communication for clients, guests, visitors, and callers of SpinLaunch. This is an exciting, hands-on role requiring superior communication and interpersonal skills. This role is an integral part of the Operations team and will work closely with several of the company’s departments to perform multiple tasks while upholding the reputation of the company. This is a full-time position located at our Long Beach, CA facility.
Your Mission on the Team:
As an Office Manager, you will be primarily responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and supporting various projects across an innovative, rapidly growing space technology company. This includes:
- Provide general support for various departments
- Coordinate meetings, manage schedules, make appointments, arrange travel, provide other general assistance as required
- Exhibits strong attention to detail, ability to adapt to daily schedules and routines, and a focus on efficiency without sacrificing quality
- Organize programs and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the company
- Perform potentially confidential and complex administrative duties involving Excel, Word and PowerPoint including, typing letters, creating/updating spreadsheets, and compiling presentations
- Create a positive, welcoming impression when greeting visitors, callers and clients – make sure they are directed to the right employee
- Maintain positive relationships with internal and external clients through professional and honest interaction
- Respond to employee and client requests quickly and professionally
- Manage ordering and scheduling of catered meals
- Collect and distribute parcels and other mail coming in from USPS, FedEx, and UPS
- Order office supplies as needed
- Ad-hoc projects as needed (ordering t-shirts, assist in event coordination and off-site events, etc.)
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent with at least 2 years of relevant work experience
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Upholds a high standard of integrity and discretion and tactfully handles high-level confidential matters
- Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability and willingness to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment
- Must be available to work extended hours when specific highly-critical tasks dictate as needed
Salary Range: $20/hr to $30/hr ($41,600.00 to $62,400.00 annually)
The base salary offered to a successful candidate will be determined on a case-by-case basis and influenced by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, and scope of the position.
ITAR Requirements
SpinLaunch is required by the U.S. Government to comply with various space technology export regulations including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident (“green card holder”) as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.15) or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
