Office Services Specialist
Job Description
The Office Services Specialist is part of the Office Services (Admin) Unit and is responsible for the general upkeep and care of New Visions Central Office. The responsibilities include daily tasks such as supplies management, coordinating office repairs, vendor management, and support on events. This position will report to the Office Manager. Â
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Manage office equipment - Copiers, poster maker, postage machine and scale, fax, and binding machineÂ
- Oversee workstations - maintain open workstations, set up for new staff, update office floor plans as necessary
- Maintain office supplies - oversee supply inventory and small furniture/ accessibility equipment
- Plan anniversary and birthday celebrations
- Conduct end of day office walkthroughs and closing - office inspection, lockups, Jabra charging
- Oversee office cleanliness - common areas & conference roomsÂ
- Coordinate office repairs & maintenanceÂ
- Vendor and contract managementÂ
- Scheduling repairs (routine maintenance and emergency repairs)
- Insurance COIs needed for deliveries
- Facilities related communications
- Service desk tickets maintenance
- Support on org-wide events
- Maintain basement and storage areasÂ
- Assist on any ad hoc projects that may arise
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- B.A. or Associates degree
- 1 - 2 years experience in office environment
REQUIRED SKILL SET
- Friendly, approachable and professional demeanor
- Organized with strong attention to detail
- Able to manage competing demands and priorities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Reliable and dependable
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel,and Google Docs

Â In 2020-21, graduation rates in our Charter and Affinity networks were 95.4% and 89.2% and our support for postsecondary readiness has expanded exponentially.
