Job Description
Responsibilities, authorities and accountabilities
- Oversee and manage global immigration programs and procedures to ensure compliance with international laws and regulations.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external partners such as immigration attorneys and relocation service providers.
- Counsel senior management and human resources on complex immigration issues and develop strategic solutions.
- Stay updated on immigration policies worldwide and understand how changes can impact the company.
- Lead, manage, and mentor the global immigration team.
- Ensure efficient processes are in place to expedite the immigration process.
- Manage the budget for the global immigration department.
- Design and deliver training programs to HR and hiring teams about global immigration processes and changes.
- Prepare regular reports to senior management on immigration statuses, issues, and trends.
- Build a strategy that allows balance between compliance and improving employee experience through immigration processes for OFSE.
- Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to advise on best practices regarding immigration processes tied to talent moves.
- Strategically develop and manage cost-conscious programs and regularly update progress/results to management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in HR, Business, Law, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in global immigration management or a related field
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams.
