The Product Marketing Communications Manager partners with the Product Marketing Director and business leadership to manage branding, execute promotions, design communication campaigns, and provide functional expertise. The role will serve as a communications business partner who participates in long-term planning and contributes to the overall business strategy. He/she will drive customer communication success in the areas of marketing communications, digital communications, change management, and thought leadership. He/she will also develop and implement employee communications within segments to foster transparency, alignment, and engagement.
In this role, you will be responsible to:
- Leading communications strategy and execution of internal and external communication plans for OFSE product lines and product segments.
- Develops market communications engagement that supports OFSE product segments and product line strategies.
- Collaborates with leaders, subject matter experts, product managers, and product marketing teams to develop messaging, create quality content, and plan communications.
- Provides efficient communication execution with Baker Hughes employees, customers, and the media in coordination and collaboration with the business and larger Communications team.
- Aligns and integrates communication plans across the Company.
- Directs business-level communications activities in support of corporate strategies and initiatives.
- Collaborates with the extended communications and product marketing team from Events, Digital, and Creative Services to ensure effective execution of communication strategies.
- Supports the coordination and execution of virtual or live employee and customer events.
- Develops articles and speeches and coordinates outsourcing with External Communications and third parties.
- Generates content for social media (LinkedIn and YouTube)
- Provides advice and guidance to functional management or business functions on effective communication approaches, projects and programs.
- Handles communication with direct colleagues and the business about approach and methods for solving complex problems.
- Models the Baker Hughes core values (Grow, Collaborate, Lead, Care) and operates according to the Baker Hughes Code of Conduct
- Conducts other duties as assigned.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university or college
- 5-7 years related experience in a marketing or communications role supporting B2B businesses.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, TEAMS, etc.,).
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
- Experience in the oil and gas or energy industry preferred.
- A strong understanding of communication and design fundamentals (accessibility, information hierarchy, brand guidelines).
