Axogen is hiring for an Onboarding and Learning & Development Specialist in Tampa, FL!

Job Summary of the Onboarding and Learning & Development Specialist

The Onboarding Specialist role is critical in executing our people initiatives, providing great internal customer support, and driving Human Resources functional excellence and process improvement in the areas of employee onboarding and talent development. This position will interact with candidates, new employees and hiring leaders to create a positive impression of the company through professional and impactful interviewing, hiring and onboarding experiences. This position plays a meaningful role cultivating relationships with job candidates and new and tenured employees. The position reports to the Sr. Director, Talent & Organization Effectiveness, with a dotted line reporting relationship to the Director, Talent Acquisition.

Requirements of the Onboarding and Learning & Development Specialist

  • High School diploma or equivalent required, bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3 years of professional work experience required
  • Experience facilitating small group presentations in person and virtually
  • Experience with onboarding and recruiting or HR administrative experience
  • Adeptness for new technologies
  • Experience using an applicant tracking systems, preferably Greenhouse and/or experience using a learning management system, preferably Litmos
  • Enjoys working with people and helping them succeed
  • Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to consistently maintain a high-level of confidentiality
  • A desire to innovate and improve upon existing processes
  • Experience multi-tasking in a time sensitive environment

Responsibilities of the Onboarding and Learning & Development Specialist

The specific duties of the Onboarding and Learning & Development Specialist include but are not limited to:

  • Manages and maintains communication with job applicants throughout the recruiting process
  • May manage job postings and new job intake information with hiring leaders
  • Schedules and manages interviews with hiring managers and candidates such that we create a positive experience for potential hires
  • Arranges travel and lodging for out-of-town candidates using internal systems and communicating directly with vendors as needed
  • Manages I-9 process and completes I-9 verification for onsite employees in primary location and ensures compliance with required regulations
  • Manages the learning accounts/profiles in the LMS (Learning Management System) Manages and maintains weekly new hire orientation schedule
  • Facilitates weekly new hire orientation and serves as ambassador to ensure newly hired employees have a positive first impression upon joining the organization
  • Supports the onboarding program administrative tasks and interacts with new hires and leaders throughout the process
  • Completes LMS administration processes, such as adding new users, assigning courses, creating, and maintaining training reports and dashboards as required
  • Assists in the development and creation of new hire and leadership development training materials, as needed
  • Facilitates timely communication to, and on behalf of, stakeholders within the overall HR team
  • Supports other HR tasks beyond the job description to support team members when needed

Compensation

The anticipated base wage or salary range for this position is $47,132 - $58,916.

The anticipated range for target compensation in the form of an annual bonus of 10% of base.

Axogen is on a hybrid work schedule at some facilities, with 3 days in office and 2 days remote.
