What you will do
- Deployment schedules and Resource management across potentially multiple product deployment teams. (i.e., OBEM, Companion, CUP, etc.)
- Customer Communication
- Program / Project reports, Issue customer concern and product group interface
- Responsible for leading project deployment teams and/or Systems Integrator pods in the delivery of OpenBlue projects globally. Including project delivery, local market coordination, customer, and local market training, etc.
- Leads OpenBlue project team leads to drive the timely execution of these projects and their delegated tasks as required to execute and fully complete assigned projects including, but not limited to: OpenBlue application, OBB (Open Blue Bridge) installation and network commissioning, Data ingestion, Application configuration, Quality assurance and initial customer / branch training. All this falls under the OpenBlue deployment playbook guidelines.
- Responsible for tracking all active and pipeline projects for any global customer assigned. Managing escalations that fall outside of the normal issue management process and timeline. Supports and tracks all projects to be sure the teams are following the playbook and standard JCI project management procedures.
- Assists with mentoring project leads in how JCI performs, or delegates tasks required to execute and fully complete projects. This includes, but is not limited to hardware deployment, system programming, installation coordination, system and network commissioning, problem escalation and project closeout.
- Responsible for managing the relationship between the OpenBlue deployment teams and customers with JCI Sales, Product, and L&D (Learning and Development) teams. Responsible for escalating OpenBlue project team needs to these JCI departments to support / resolve customer relationship and contract issues, product problems, supply training materials and courseware needs.
- Supports and assists OpenBlue project managers in monitoring and determining optimum resource levels needed to meet project schedules. With the understanding that there may be significant lead times to onboard these resources.
- This lead will always have their hand on the pulse of every project globally, meeting with the project leads regularly to ensure that all scope changes are quickly and properly documented and that change orders are approved prior to performance of work.
How you will do it
- Act as the primary Project Executive with the overall responsibility of delivery and execution of Global customer projects.
- Ensure Global customer projects are properly executed, as budgeted, tracked in Daptiv and billed in a timely manner within scope of the contract. Reports back to Sales where estimates have been assembled incorrectly to cover actual cost.
- Provide leadership by demonstrating focus on exceeding customers' expectations.
- Partners with deployment and product PMs as well as Local Market office representatives to assess customer/project training requirements. Partner with Learning and Development to lead the development of training documentation, materials and delivery as needed.
- Leads a larger team of OpenBlue PMs managing higher level project schedules, coaches project managers, and assists with managing field escalation issues with local JCI offices or customers.
- Reports to the Global Deployment Director and proper project stakeholders with respect to project allocation, project status reporting, escalation requests, and project escalations.
- Assist with management of post-implementation customer support and generating post-event documentation for the entry into a centralized solutions database.
- Partners with OpenBlue product management leads to provide training and product literature feedback and request escalation where required.
What we look for
Required
- Bachelor's degree or military equivalent in a technical field.
- 8 years project management field experience.
- Experience with major / large project management or costing principles. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills; communicate technical material to a non-technical audience.
- Strong computer skills in a Microsoft Office environment. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Project or equivalent project management tools.
- Leader with the ability to think strategically.
- Self-Starter who can take ownership of issues and is able to move simultaneously between diverse tasks with tact, collaboration, and persistence.
- Communicate well with customers at all levels, both internal and external.
- Validated organizational and time management skills meaning you can regroup, in real time, as priorities and objectives change.
- Customer satisfaction is your highest priority.
