Job Description

Job purpose

Short and concise statement of the primary role / function of the position within its organizational unit. Basically, answering the question: "Why does this position exist?”

Ensure that all assigned operations and production processes are completed on time and quality standard whilst ensuring that all systems are followed and targets are achieved in accordance with safe working practices in the injection molding area, assembly area, tooling area and maintenance area.

Main accountabilities and tasks:

1. Ensure that all assigned operations and processes (production, maintenance, die-casting) are completed on time and to a quality standard, while ensuring all systems are signed off and objectives are achieved in accordance with work practices
2. Co-definition of the directions of production processes and development of maintenance areas (Plant and mold maintenance and facility management), including investment activities
3. Control the expenses of the operations, optimizing time and resources
4. Participate in annual budget creation
5. Manage the team workload and set directions, goals and tasks to be implemented, delegating powers and responsibilities.
6. Lead projects, including automation and optimization projects (Lean, 5S, etc.)
7. Ensure timely execution of the production plan in accordance with the schedule and quantitative and qualitative requirements
8. Ensure and develop the competences of the team, participate in the performance review, appraisal, grading, salary reviews and manage holidays of the team
9. Audit areas and processes and ensure that there are improvement actions and problem-solving tools in the area of production, maintenance and molds
10. Ensure reporting of non-compliance, failure and safety (including reporting accidents) and environment protection hazards to the manager or person responsible for health and safety and environmental protection
11. Cooperation with external suppliers and internal client
12. Workflow reporting / KPI and taking corrective actions when deviations occur.

14. Definition of strategies and resolution of problems in the Management Committee
15. Other tasks given by manager

Qualifications

Required experience and qualifications

Work experience: +3 years in similar position or +10 year’s experience in industry, desirable in plastic injection industry

Education: Level: Industrial Engineering. The academic qualification may be replaced by accredited professional experience in the subject area.

Languages: Spanish, English fluent level

Soft skills: Team management, teamwork, collaboration, communication, assertiveness, leadership, initiative and innovation

Other: Nice to have: SAP or other MES System, Improvement tools methodologies (5S, SMED, 6 Sigma, etc.)
