Operational Risk Associate
Job Description
The Operational Risk Associate participates in monitoring and reporting on risks and controls for the organization. Under general supervision, this job contributes to the tracking of remediation of identified deficiencies, prepares and reviews reports for management, and assists in maintaining the database of record of enterprise risks and controls. This job learns and applies an understanding of the principles, concepts, practices, and standards of risk management including regulatory standards to help identify, evaluate, and document internal processes and controls.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Execute against Risk Management's annual plan by performing monitoring activities, targeted testing, and risk assessments among other activities upon the direction of leadership.
- Perform analysis from a 2nd LoD perspective to identify and assess key risks and controls and how they fit into the key business processes.
- Works with associates across the organization to support consistent adherence and execution of the enterprise risk management programs.
- Keep up to date with the current operating environment by building open and effective working relationships with applicable business partners.
- Collaborates with Risk, Compliance, and the line of business to ensure the identification and management of risks and control weaknesses.
- Validate issues in accordance with standards to ensure controls are adequately designed and operating effectively to mitigate risk to an acceptable level.
- Demonstrate flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks and communicating potential conflicts to leadership.

Base Pay Range: $54,400/yr. - $90,600/yr.
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
