This position will be a hybrid work arrangement, which translates to 2-3 days minimum per week in the office.
The Operational Risk Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Head of Operational Risk with the execution of the risk framework, incident management and the buildout of risk metrics. This role will focus on the risk and control environment for the Client Operations function and report directly into the Head of Operational Risk.
The ideal candidate is someone who is:
- Experienced with implementing operational risk frameworks, risk identification and control improvements
- Self motivated and willing to collaborate with team members
- Analytical with strong attention to details
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
What you will do:
- Maintain and update the risk register for Client Operations
- Assist with the roll out of the incident management program
- Monitor and supervise action plans for exposures identified and document root cause details
- Document and maintain the Risk and Controls Self Assessment (RCSA) process
- Produce concise risk dashboards summarizing risk severity, measurement and outlook
- And other responsibilities as required
What you bring:
- Knowledge of operational risk methodologies, principles and internal controls
- Understanding of financial services and supporting operational risks and processes and best practice standards
- Skills to break down complex issues into tasks and prioritize in a logical manner
- Capable of balancing multiple responsibilities, working in a fast paced environment and meeting key deliverable dates
- Ability to challenge business partners objectively and effectively
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners across all levels at the Firm
Education Preferred
- Bachelor of Arts (B.A)
Experience
- 3-5 years in risk management and / or internal audit, preferably within financial services
