Operational Risk Manager

IMC seeks a proactive and self-reliant Operational Risk Manager to play a fundamental role in continuously growing and embedding the Operational Risk Framework in the Amsterdam office. IMC's Amsterdam Risk Team enables our critical day-to-day risk management activities, covering Operational, Market, Liquidity, Credit and Regulatory risks. Focusing on Operational Risk Management, you'll manage the Control Framework, lead the the Risk Control Self-Assessment and facilitate the Operational Incident management process.
To excel in this role, you will need strong analytical skills, technical knowledge along with an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to get things done in a flat, collaborative structure. We're looking for someone who can combine proven expertise together with a critical, proactive, hands-on approach.
Your Core Responsibilities:

• Perform the Risk Control Self-Assessments through analyzing potential impact and likelihood of risk events in close collaboration with all departments
• Manage the Key Control Framework process ensuring effective testing and continuous evaluation of controls
• Keep up with and provide guidance on the latest regulatory requirements on operational risk management
• Improve and document our Operational Risk Framework by enhancing its effectiveness while maintaining simplicity and actionability
• Ensuring global alignment and collaborating with other Operational Risk Managers globally to achieve these goals
• Conduct the annual Internal Capital Adequacy and Risk Assessment Process (ICARAP) and Business Continuity Plan (BCP) process and testing
• Support the Operational Incident management process and strengthen actionable reporting on trends and insights

Your Skills and Experience:

• 2 to 7 years of relevant work experience in operational risk management ideally in the proprietary trading industry
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills
• Ability to communicate complex information and ideas to key business stakeholders
• Self-starter, proactive attitude and an out-of-the-box thinker
• Solid understanding of operational risk frameworks and internal operational controls
• Knowledge and experience in financial market regulations for operational risk management
• A genuine interest in financial markets, risk, trading and technology
• An academic background in a relevant field (such as Economics, Finance or STEM)
