As an Operational Risk Reporting Analyst, you'll impact the lives of everyday people and help them go from surviving to thriving with innovative digital personal finance solutions. You will be part of the team that provides the "First Line of Defense" for Lending Operations and ongoing governance of operational risk frameworks. This position will facilitate the repurchases process with investors and be an investor-facing partner. This role will also support Operational Risk through data by developing scripts that will systematically monitor operational activities and internal first line testing sampling. Additionally the Operational Risk Reporting Analyst will be a primary participant to support the Compliance team with audits and exams requests internally or from external regulators, partner banks, or other auditors with full support from Lending Operation leadership.

Qualifications
What you'll do:
  • Partner with the business for the processing of loan repurchases.
  • Perform targeted testing analysis and sampling by identifying illogical conditions and be able to transform the results into actionable activities.
  • Partner with Business Leaders, Business subject matter experts, Control, Compliance, Ops Risk, Legal, and other personal loans or home loans lines of business to identify Self-Identified Issues or respond to Issues from Enterprise Risk.
  • Work broadly across the organization to deliver accurate and timely audit samples in support of either internal or external audit activities. Ensure audit sampling is well defined, understood, and provided in such a manner as they meet the criteria of both the auditors and the Risk/Compliance organization. Interact with teams in each of the Operations, Compliance, Reporting organizations as well as Executive Leadership.
  • Analyze results, either internal or external, on the accuracy of reporting, the speed and accuracy by which issues are permanently resolved, and the ability to drive quality control activities across the Lending Operations.

What you'll bring:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years analytics and/or SQL experience.
  • 3+ years of experience working in a data environment.
  • Advanced analytic skills: able to work with data, to understand and interpret trending, and to be able to recommend appropriate solutions based on analysis.
  • An inquisitive mind: able to consider the many sides of an issue, to ask the right questions, and to be able to reach conclusions that are actionable.
  • Proven ability to identify process improvements.
  • Experience working cross-functionally.
  • Must be able to multitask; this role will require an ability to manage a vastly diverse set of initiatives.
  • Must be able to stay organized while working on multiple projects.
  • Strong knowledge of PC skills in the Microsoft and Google product line including: Word, & Excel, Gsheets, Gdocs, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of PC based programs - ability to learn quickly.
