We are currently searching for a permanent full-time Operational Risk Specialist to join our Computershare Communications Services (CCS) team.

As an Operational Risk Specialist, you will influence and promote a sustained quality and risk culture. In this role you will get the opportunity to utilize your analytical and leadership skills to implement risk initiatives that drive efficiency to support core service delivery functions in alignment with strategic objectives.
In this role you will be responsible for executing and delivering plans that support teams implementing projects to improve inter-related departmental quality and risk profiles. You will assess business processes, assess risks and opportunities, and more!
As part of a tight North American team, this role will have primary responsibility to deliver on day-to-day operational quality and risk activities, working hand in hand with Canadian and US colleagues, driving consistency across the region and supporting delivery of the North American objectives.
Measures of success include 1. Meeting day-to-day operating deadlines (65%) 2. Time and cost savings from improvements (20%) 3. Customer sat scores NPS / Sat (15%).
What will you bring to the role?
You are a self-motivated and innovative individual who is keen on quality and risk practices and excels in facilitating organizational change. You will have the ability to manage ambiguity and use your critical thinking skills. You possess the social competence to cultivate collaboration and work cohesively to train, coach, mentor and interact with all levels of the organization.
You'll also need:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in operational risk management (ie. Process risk control assessments, trend analysis, data and process mapping, internal process audits etc).
- Experience working in a progressive ISO program environment.
- ISO 9001:2015, ISO 27001, Data Protection/Privacy experience.
- SOC 2 and information security control standards experience.
- Change management experience and the ability to implement change to deliver required organizational and industry standards.
- Experience in developing, implementing and maintaining Business Continuity Programs.
- Presentation skills; ability to create and deliver informational and learning resources to a broad group of participants physically and virtually.
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience with analytics and reporting tools such as PowerBI
- Project Management (PMP or equivalent experience)
- Broad understanding of Communication Services business, solutions and products (print /digital) within a regulated environment.
- Certified Risk Manager (CRM); Internal Audit (ISO 9001 or CIA)
