Operations Accounting Manager I

What You'll Do
We're looking for an Operations Accounting Manager I to join our Principal Custody Solutions (PCS) team. In this role, you'll lead a team of accountants, work with financial reporting and have direct communication with institutional clients!
- Financial Analysis and Reporting: using specialized knowledge and expertise to oversee accounting analysis and reporting of financial transactions of complexity in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), statutory accounting principles (SAP), tax regulations, or other regulatory guidance.
- Compliance and Controls: assist in the development and implementation of governance frameworks and financial controls. Monitor control structure and escalate issues as necessary. Drive remediation plans for control deficiencies. Establish processes to monitor compliance and effectiveness of financial controls in line with the organization's methodology and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Management Reporting: develop business unit reporting systems for management, project or performance reporting and implement processes to deliver information to meet regulatory timing and management needs. Interpret financial reports and accounts, identify and evaluate risks and opportunities and present findings to management for decision making.
- Projects: act as the subject matter expert and work with project owner to ensure accounting and internal control objectives are met through the design and implementation of new products and/or systems. Carry out testing to ensure the system or process is operating as intended. Identify and implement operational excellence projects, providing business requirements for new systems or enhancements.
- Leadership: lead a team including hiring, training, career development, budgeting, and financial management. Provide compensation administration, rewards and recognition, performance management, coaching and mentoring.
Who You Are
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years relevant experience required, securities processing background preferred.
- Candidate may be required to register as an Operations Professional within a reasonable time (typically 6 months) of hiring or notification.
- Must possess excellent leadership, decision-making, and negotiation skills, along with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent relationship building and communication skills, including verbal, written, phone, and presentation skills.
Skills That Will Help You Stand Out
- CPA or other applicable certifications preferred
- Knowledge of SEI Trust3000 and FIS InvestOne reporting systems.
Salary Range Information
Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)
$100100 - $135300 / year
Time Off Program
Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don't accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.

Location
This role offers in-office, and hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek), work arrangements in our Minneapolis, MN office. You'll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
