Operations Analyst
Job Description
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Operations Analyst to join our team. This role requires a highly analytical and results-driven individual who is passionate about using data to identify business problems and develop effective solutions in collaboration with stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of business operations, market trends, and the competitive landscape. We are looking for someone who will work closely with our VP of Operations to improve forecasting accuracy and ensure the proper implementation of KPIs across the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze data from various sources, such as market research, customer feedback, and operational metrics, to identify trends and patterns within the organization
- Develop business cases and feasibility studies to evaluate the potential costs, benefits, and risks of proposed solutions. Use this analysis to make recommendations and inform decision-making by stakeholders;
- Create detailed documentation of business requirements. Work closely with the VP of Operations to ensure these requirements are clearly understood and can be translated into technical specifications;
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets. Use project management tools and techniques to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet stakeholder expectations;
- Coordinate testing and quality assurance activities to ensure solutions are thoroughly tested and meet quality standards;
- Develop and deliver training materials to ensure stakeholders are prepared to use and support new solutions;
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success of business initiatives;
- Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning activities;
- Analyze financial data and business metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities;
- Collaborate with business partners to develop annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and other financial plans;
- Monitor and report on financial performance against budget, forecast, and prior year;
- Develop variance analysis and commentary to explain key drivers of performance; and
- Develop and maintain clear, concise, and visually appealing presentations to communicate financial results, analysis, and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders.
Required Skills:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Strong communication and presentation skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Experience with data analysis, forecasting and visualization tools;
- Understanding of business operations, market trends, and the competitive landscape;
- Familiarity with project management methodologies;
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously; and
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
Experience and Education:
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field;
- Experience in the financial sector; and
- Proven work experience as a Business Analyst, FP&A Analyst, or similar role.
**Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States with no visa requirements**
Salary: $70,000 - $100,000 pa OTE
