Operations Analyst/Project Management Responsibilities

  • Manage all process improvement and cost savings projects for network wide Operations with respect to master scheduling and inventory control.
  • Analyze Operations Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for scheduling and inventory control, and work with the teams to develop network solutions to track, report and improve performance.
  • Work with the Purchasing and Operations teams to update and maintain appropriate lead times and safety stock levels to ensure product availability.
  • Assist all operations as needed with analysis of MRP reports to determine accuracy and completeness. Develop standards and tracking tools to ensure compliance and consistency.
  • Work with operations supply planner to develop tools to improve forecasting, manufacturing execution and labor utilization.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MRP/Systems Responsibilities

  • Manage the set-up and maintenance of the MRP system within the division, to include testing for new system implementations or updates.
  • Perform testing as requested for Solomon updates.
  • Participate in inventory reduction projects and meetings.
  • Bill of Materials (BOM)
  • Work with Cost Accountants, Operations and Marketing team for development and setup of new BOM's.
  • Work with Operations teams and Accounting team to monitor and update production times as needed to insure BOM are accurate on an ongoing basis.
  • Work with Operations teams to assist with cost savings initiatives.

Physical Inventory

  • Coordinate scheduling and management of physical inventory counts.
  • Work with operations teams to implement locations and use of barcode scanners at each of the offsite operations.

Training

  • Provide Solomon/SAP training for new and existing employees.
  • Provide training for divisional personnel as needed to allow effective utilization of MRP.
  • Develop new training for continuing education for existing employees (Lexington based and remote) utilizing existing training tools.
