IFC's Corporate Support Vice Presidency is responsible for communications, outreach, and partnerships, alongside other core functions including HR, budget, and IT. The Vice Presidency supports the implementation of IFC's business strategy for effective delivery of our programs to clients and partners, in close collaboration with relevant counterparts across the World Bank Group.
The Strategic Initiatives, Analytics and Knowledge Management unit is responsible for enhancing IFC's corporate knowledge, learning and change management capabilities and to further strengthen our corporate analytics and reporting. The mandate of the unit is two-pronged: (1) drive innovation and continuous improvement within Corporate Support VPU (COSVPU) and (2) together with all other functions within the VPU and other relevant units across IFC, support senior leadership in designing and implementing the institutional change needed to achieve IFC's strategic objectives and growth ambitions.
Under the guidance and mentoring of the Senior Operations Officer, the selected candidate will play a key role in supporting the organization in building and nurturing change management capability across IFC as well as contributing into and supporting the planning and implementation or change management interventions to local and/or corporate projects. With a dual focus on Knowledge Management, the role will support the development of internal capability as well as deliver change interventions designed to enable the benefits of change and ensure personnel are equipped with the appropriate knowledge, skills and tools to adopt the new ways of working.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in supporting change and knowledge management initiatives and have an innovative and pragmatic approach, agile mindset as well as an international outlook and excellent communication skills.
Duties and Accountabilities:
S/he will support the implementation of the IFC change management and knowledge management organizational work plans in the following areas: β’ Develop and curate materials in support of change and knowledge programs, to include business cases, proposals, plans, project communications strategies, stakeholder engagement plans, learning schedules and other project documentation.β’ Contribute to intervention design and delivery, as part of change management standard roll out approaches (Change Impact and Readiness workshops, Learning Needs Assessments, design thinking journeys). β’ Actively contribute to building change and knowledge management capacities within project units, industries and regions, as appropriate. Manage activities focused on expanding the change management capability across the organization, e.g. managing change champions networks, contributing to the development and the roll out change management courses.β’ Organize targeted interventions, to promote knowledge management, organizational learning and promote change uptake across CSI/CSIAK initiatives, representing the unit as appropriate, contributing to the dissemination and sharing of best practices and lessons learned for knowledge building and promoting of best practice.β’ Establish solid working relationships with key stakeholders, advising on issues that may impact the achievement of the desired change outcomes.β’ Manage work packages in support of developing and evolving IFC change management toolkit and associated materials.β’ Develop change communication materials and related products for change and knowledge management initiative awareness-raising activities. β’ Develop fit for purpose briefing materials using data visualization techniques.β’ Undertake a variety of best practice research and benchmarking to help bring new thinking into the IFC change management framework.β’ Provide general analytical and research support and contributing to CSI's overall work program, as needed. Liaising with internal CSIAK colleagues as well as other teams and units for gathering of input and expertise from subject matter experts - as neededβ’ Conduct post-implementation monitoring and follow-upβ’ Supporting the planning and delivery of internal workshops and training, as well as internal communications efforts and platforms.
Selection Criteria
β’ A bachelor's degree in business, international development, social sciences, human resources or public policy, with a strong academic record, and a strong understanding of development issues and impact. β’ Professional certification in Project Management and or Change Management is an advantage.β’ At least two years of relevant work experience within an International context, with experience in delivering change and or knowledge management programs, is an advantage.β’ Familiarity with WBG and IFC's strategic priorities and operations is an advantage.β’ Strong analytical, conceptual and strategy formulation capabilities; demonstrated ability to combine the big picture with attention to detail to manage effective projects.β’ Ability to research and synthesize large volumes of information from diverse sources.β’ Excellent communications skills as well as MS Office expertise including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Project and Teams.β’ Excellent English written and oral communications skills. β’ Flexibility, responsiveness, and ability to manage multiple activities to tight deadlines.β’ Strong client focus and excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, with a positive and collaborative attitude and proven capacity to build and manage effective relationships (both laterally and with senior staff).
