What is the opportunity?

As an Operations Analyst II in the Data Solution Services team, you would be responsible to design, implement, and maintain medium to high complexity end-user efficiency solutions. This role performs daily oversight activities that validate processes are executed, as designed and escalates issues, as appropriate. Incumbent will develop technical documentation, system guides, and provide training on end-user efficiency solutions. Partnering with Operation's resources to assess and design new processes or process modifications to increase department efficiency, reduce risk, or enrich service. You will analyze and resolve escalated issues independently with minimal supervision. What will you do?

  • Develop end-user efficiency solutions of medium to high complexity using different technology methods (SQL Server, Tableau, MS Access, VBA, etc.). Develop and maintain technical documentation for end-user efficiency solutions
  • Perform ongoing production support and maintenance updates for established end-user efficiency solutions. Execute daily oversight activities to validate system processes are executing as designed
  • Liaise and provide customer service support for individuals requiring research, problem resolution, or securing information from other Operation's departments, RBC Business Units, external customers or industry participants
  • Interpret complex technical or operational concepts to design comprehensive solutions. Review, design, and implement new processes/process changes and procedures to increase department efficiency, reduce risk, or enrich service.
  • Participate in business requirement development, UAT testing, end-user training, and implementation support for enhancements and new firm initiatives for changing technology systems, supporting department processes
  • Develop and provide ongoing training support for end-user resources related to the department's processes and systems. Provide feedback to department leadership team when appropriate. Develop and maintain end-user system guides, department procedures, and process maps

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 4-year degree from an accredited university or equivalent or High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years prior securities, banking, technology and/or job specific related industry experience
  • Series 7 or Series 99 or ability to obtain in 120 days
  • 3+ years business process redesign, SQL Server development, VBA development, MS Access development, analysis and/or risk control experience
  • Experience using visualization software like Tableau, and/or Microsoft Power BI

Nice-to-have

  • Prior business analysis experience on large projects
