Mountain Asset Management LLC is a subsidiary of Great-West Lifeco, an international financial service holding company with interests in life insurance, health insurance, retirement and investment services, asset management and reinsurance businesses, including Empower.
We are interviewing candidates for the position of Operations and Accounting Coordinator. This is an onsite position in Greenwood Village with working hours beginning by 7:30am MT.
As an Operations and Accounting Coordinator, you will hold a key role in all investment operations activities involving cash management, trade settlement, compliance management and transaction documentation processes. You will coordinate with internal administrative and investment analyst teams, trading partners and company banks. This position is also responsible for the tracking and reconciliation of cash receipts/disbursements, processing investment transactions within industry defined timelines, and timely identification and resolution of problems.
What you will do
- Provide support to the Accounting Manager as necessary to maintain financial records, close the monthly books, reconcile accounts, forecasting and financial reporting.
- Prepare portfolio performance and overview documents on a monthly and quarterly basis. This includes maintaining routine reporting requirements as well as assisting with the development of special reports as needed.
- Support documentation process related to investment holdings and opportunity to assist with research projects.
- Help maintain record retention standards and procedure/workflow documentation.
What you will bring
- 3 to 5 years of related experience, ideally in an investment management or financial services environment
- Bachelor's Degree in related subject strongly preferred, relevant coursework in combination with previous experience will be considered
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel with specific experience using pivot tables and VLOOKUP functionality strongly preferred
- Strong aptitude for numbers and problem-solving attributes
- Basic understanding of Accounting concepts, including Financial Statements and Accounts Payable

Base Salary Range
$60,200.00 - $85,025.00
The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
