Operations Associate
Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW
Alarm.com, a highly innovative and entrepreneurial SaaS (Software as a Service) company, is seeking an Operations Associate to join our growing, fast paced FP&A department. The Operations Associate will be responsible for the organization of financial documentation and interacting with other departmental representatives to maintain effective recordkeeping, including customer and vendor contracts, discounted pricing requests, and related information. The Operations Associate must maintain strict controls in his or her functional areas of responsibility and must be willing and able to engage with functional peers harmoniously while exhibiting proficient time management and multitasking skills. The Operations Associate will excel in the role by acting proactively and expressing attention to detail in all matters. This position will report directly to the Senior Financial Operations Coordinator within the FP&A team and will work closely with and support all other members of the team on an as-needed basis.Â
RESPONSIBILTIES
- Â Pricing Operations
- Ensures that requests for pricing changes contain the requisite amount of information and comply with established controls surrounding the requests.
- Implements pricing change requests for manager approval.
- Provides documentation and support for pricing change requests to internal and external auditors.
- Partners with other functions to enhance overall governance and processes surrounding pricing management.
- Financial Data Management
- Maintains an understanding of key contracts impacting pricing, such as manufacturing agreements and wireless carrier agreements.
- Partners with other teams to maintain and update central database with unit level price and cost information.
- Assists other members of the FP&A team in using the information contained in such database to appropriately set and update prices and pricing policies.
- Audit and Controls
- Maintains a working knowledge of policies and controls surrounding pricing, invoicing, and incentive management.
- Supports compliance with those policies and controls.
- Contributes to the administrative workflows associated with contract execution and contract term adherence.

Job Requirements
- Associates degree.
- 1-3 years’ experience in an operations support role
- Excellent written and oral skills.
- Experience with basic computer programs; proficiency in Microsoft Office programs preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to collect data and organize it in a consumable and relevant way in a timely and accurate manner.
- Must be hands-on and comfortable working independently.
