Position Description:
The Operations Associate will report to and act as back up for the process team leader. They will be responsible for implementation of continuous improvement projects and monitoring of operational performance on the floor. This includes providing a leadership role for the process team, managing improvement projects and process monitoring for the area, acting as a liaison between operations and multiple support functions in execution of deviation investigation, change controls and assisting in providing supervisory coverage in the absence of the Process Team Leader.
Key Objectives / Deliverables:
- Provide leadership and operational knowledge of the area, equipment, and processes associated with chemical dispensing and warehouse in IPM supply chain.
- If applicable, responsible for the coaching, development, and performance evaluation of direct reports.
- Help monitor and develop a strong safety culture, support area safety governance setup, and run routinely.
- Development and monitoring of metrics.
- Interact and/or lead cross-functional teams to deliver technical and business solutions.
- Support the process/procedure setup and revise, for example, external warehouse setup for Lebri DS and TZP network dispensing.
- Lead specific activities identified by the joint process teams.
- Qualified to conduct investigation and root cause analysis, implement countermeasures, work on continuous improvements with related change control.
- Support/facilitate improvements to equipment, processes and/or procedures.
- Aid with batch/product approvals, issue resolution and production schedule execution.
- Provide Operations leadership as back-up to Team Leader or Manager.
- Facilitate inventory reconciliation in IPM.
- Ensure all work habits are safe and the work area is maintained for safety
- Report all near misses and unsafe work conditions or behaviors immediately to the supervisor.
- Complete all required training on - time.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 2 years of experience in manufacturing/warehousing/dispensing/operation
Additional Preferences:
- Technical or science degree preferred.
- Previous leadership/supervisory experience.
- Career interests in operations leadership.
- Experience working with parenteral products.
- Experience researching and replicating the work of other areas / facilities.
- Experience working hands on with equipment and processes and to train other technical staff and operators.
- Experience using SAP, MES, Excel, Word, Power Point, HMIs, Historian Systems, and line performance monitoring or other similar systems.
- Six sigma Green Belt or higher
