Operations Associate, Client Matching

We’re looking for a mission-driven, compassionate, and detail-oriented team member who is passionate about making mental health affordable and connecting clients to in-network care. 

This role will include working with Clinical Operations to connect inbound clients to help them better understand the care options available through Alma and ultimately match them with providers. This role may also support the Claims subteam within Insurance Operations to help enable clients to receive their care in-network. 

This role will report to either the Operations Manager or Team Lead. 

This person must be able to work 40 hours, 5 days per week (Monday-Friday). You will be expected to work 9 AM - 5:30 PM ET. This is a remote position.

Start Date: May 30, 2023 

What you’ll do:

  • Communicate with clients via email regarding provider availability and serve as resource for questions about finding in-network care
  • Support Alma’s broader Operations Team to enable in-network care and practice growth for providers in the Alma community
  • Ensure accuracy of provider records, including provider availability and practice-related information, through data entry and data management 
  • Maintain accurate records of client engagement activity to identify trends and inform product development 
  • Review claims submitted by providers and submit claims to insurance payers
  • Review electronic claims from insurance payers and post payments
  • Troubleshoot and resolve denied claims by contacting insurance companies via phone and contacting clients/providers via email
  • Work across multiple systems and browsers, including but not limited to Google Suite, ZenDesk, and various insurance portals
  • Identify escalations and communicate to supervisor

Who you are:

  • You may have experience in a healthcare setting or customer service role that has taught you to effectively communicate with others and handle sensitive information
  • You are organized, detail-oriented and proactive with ability to prioritize work effectively and learn new processes quickly
  • You are computer proficient 
  • You have experience with data entry
  • You may have experience working across multiple software platforms, such as Google Suite, Kareo, Square, ZenDesk, Slack 
  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to communicate accurately and effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • You are able to work between the hours of 9am-5:30pm ET 
  • You may have experience working with a healthcare technology company

Hourly Rate: $21 per hour

Please note: This role cannot be hired for anyone who resides full time in California.
