Cost Basis Operations is dedicated to leading a culture that delivers timely cost basis research, updates and reporting services in our efforts to create a premier client experience, while providing a controlled and disciplined environment that allows our employees to feel valued and engaged. Cost Basis Operations is a part of Shared Support Services.
What You'll Do:
As an Associate in Cost Basis Operations, you will be part of a team that oversees the transmission and upkeep of cost basis data for assets transferred in and out of Schwab. This is a fast-paced working environment where you will utilize your effective communication and teamwork to be successful. You will have the opportunity to rotate through different functions as business needs arise. Your duties for this role will include, but are not limited to:
- Daily review/sorting of incoming emails from contra firms
- Daily communication with contra firms
- Research across multiple systems to verify transaction information
- Research escalations
What you have
Required Skills:
- Intermediate computer skills including Outlook, Excel and Word
- The ability to adhere to the established policies and procedures
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment while maintaining the highest level of positivity and professionalism
- Good decision making and sound judgment skills
- Attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Identify and communicate issues effectively and timely to peers and management team
- Ability to multi-task, understand the importance of follow-through
- Outstanding time management and organization skills
Preferred Skills:
- 2 years' experience in Operations
- BA or BS preferred
- Series 7/63 preferred
