Working at Wolt isn’t always easy, but it’s definitely exciting. Here you’ll learn more, build more, and ship more than in most other companies. You’ll be challenged a lot, but also have a lot of fun on the way. So, if you’re a self-starter with drive and entrepreneurial spirit, this could be the ride of your life.

Job Description

Are you an empathetic, curious, and hands-on HR professional looking to start or grow your career in a global tech environment? We're looking for an HR Associate with strong attention to detail, a service-oriented mindset, and a passion for supporting employees throughout their journey.

In this role, you'll support employee lifecycle processes, HR operations, compliance activities, and employee documentation while working closely with teams and stakeholders across the business to create a positive employee experience.

We're looking for someone who is proactive, eager to learn, and comfortable balancing day-to-day operational tasks with opportunities to improve processes and ways of working. No task is too small when it contributes to a better employee experience and stronger HR operations.

This is an Associate-level opportunity, ideal for candidates early in their HR Operations career. You don't need to be an expert in every area of HR - we'll support your development as you build experience across employee lifecycle management, HR processes, and operational excellence.

What you’ll be doing

  • Act as a trusted point of contact for Wolt couriers across Germany, supporting them with general HR topics, performance-related questions, and day-to-day employee inquiries.
  • Managing the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, contractual changes and documentation, and leave management.
  • Ensuring compliance by managing and auditing all personnel-related documents.
  • Maintaining high quality data integrity within our HR systems by identifying errors and following up on missing information.
  • Collaborating closely with Payroll to ensure timely and accurate salary payments.
  • Continuously contributing to the improvement of HR processes and the overall employee service experience.
  • Independently leveraging AI tools to drive process improvements, automation, and smarter ways of working.
  • And most importantly: Bring empathy, curiosity, ownership, and a hands-on mindset to the role  with the understanding that every task matters when it supports our people.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience: Completed commercial vocational training (kaufmännische Ausbildung), a degree in a relevant field, or initial experience in HR, People Operations, Administration, Payroll, or a similar operational role. Internships and working student experience are welcome.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English (written and spoken) and German at a minimum B2 level (C1 preferred).
  • Customer-Centric Mindset: A service-oriented approach with a genuine care and passion for creating great employee experiences.
  • Tech & AI Curiosity: Comfortable using digital tools in your day-to-day work. Experience with HR systems, AI tools, automation, or process improvement is a plus.
  • Attention to Detail: A structured and organized working style with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Problem Solving: A proactive, hands-on attitude and willingness to learn how to solve challenges independently and as part of a team.
  • Collaboration: Comfortable working with different stakeholders and supporting colleagues across teams.
  • Digital Skills: Familiarity with tools such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Zoom, DocuSign, Monday.com, or similar platforms is an advantage.
  • Growth Mindset: Curious, eager to learn, and excited to build a career in HR Operations.
