Operations Continuous Improvement Senior Manager
Job Description
Position Summary:
Supporting & under the guidance of the Director of Continuous Improvement in Operations, the role of the Operations Continuous Improvement (OCI) Senior Manager involves the follow duties and responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the Director to develop and execute a plan to deploy training, communications, and awareness programs to incrementally improve and provide process consistency throughout the network.
• This role takes the lead on more complex process improvement initiatives to deliver creative problem solving and critical thinking to develop an optimal solution.
o Identify, prioritize, analyze, recommend, communicate, execute, manage the change, and evaluate and report on the ROI for the more complex process improvements across Ops functions.
o Conduct in-depth process analysis, including process mapping, data analysis, and root cause identification, to identify inefficiencies and develop targeted improvement initiatives.
o Create project proposals and project evaluations.
• Apply Agile Project Management for OCI Initiatives across branch network.
• Manage project teams in the development and execution of process improvement plans, applying methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, Agile, or other relevant frameworks.
• Collaborate effectively with groups company-wide, including Engineering, Warehouse Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, Merchandising, & Logistics.
• Evaluate, Maintain, Improve Microsoft Teams, Power Automate and Microsoft Lists Infrastructure for OCI
• Seek out, collect, refine business requirements and vet potential change initiatives.
• Direct liaison between Operations and IT Product Managers & Leaders for network-wide change initiatives.
• Thought partner with the Director to implement a comprehensive continuous improvement programs/trainings tailored to the specific needs of the Operations area with a focus on delivering continuity across the network.
• Support in the design, maintenance, and implementation of clear operational guides, templates, and forms to ensure consistency across the operations.
• Acts as a role model for Business Process Analyst.
Technology Skills:
• Calendar and scheduling software - Microsoft Outlook
• Systems- Microsoft Teams (App navigation, Add/Manage Users, Create Channels, Set Team & Channel Options, Add Content Using Apps, etc.)
• Electronic mail software - Microsoft Exchange; Microsoft Outlook
• Office suite software - Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Word, Google Suite, Microsoft List, Microsoft Planner, Microsoft Project, SharePoint, Power Automate
• Video conferencing software - Microsoft Teams, Zoom
Work Activities:
• Ability to work in climate-controlled Warehouse environment.
• Ability to work extended hours as needed.
• Occasional travel as needed.
Desired Experience:
• Bachelor's degree and/or relevant certifications or equivalent working experience.
• 5+ years proven track record in managing cross departmental projects in an Ops environment.
• The ideal candidate will have an affinity to operations with continuous improvement and operational leadership background in distribution, fulfillment and/or distribution environment.
• Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, Microsoft Lists, Power Automate, SharePoint, Microsoft Forms - Intermediate to Advanced Level required.
• Ability to influence change, deal with ambiguity and drive best practices.
• Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and gramma required.
• Ability to handle proprietary information and manage sensitive information using a high degree of confidentiality.
• Proven work experience in process improvement and/or Operations Coordinator role (or similar role).
• Excellent time management skills, prioritization, and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with peers and stakeholders.
• Effective communication skills, including but not limited to, written, verbal and active listening.
