Position Summary:

  • The Operations Coordinator III performs a wide variety of tasks to support coordination activities for products and services supporting Tempe Operations Planning and Materials

Essential Key Job Responsibilities (including supervisory and/or fiscal):

  • Process Purchase Orders for non-stock items such as manufacturing tools and non-kanban consumables, MFGx- Non Controlled Items & MFGx Controlled Items.
  • Lead Cycle Count activities with Operations, Materials, Warehouse, and Finance Teams as appropriate in J.D. Edwards ERP system
  • Perform PPE Cycle Count using manual MRP file, and coordinate replenishment activities with Materials Planner
  • Facilitates cross-channel feedback from planning to management teams
  • Works with team leaders, managers and department heads to learn departmental needs and goals
  • Observing, reviewing, and analyzing process to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvements
  • Collaborates with planning and management to set departmental and organizational goals
  • Deliver reports to department heads to provide insight to the overall efficiency of the plant-SQDCE
  • Team oriented with leadership qualities
  • Execute processing and replenishment of materials for Operations utilizing Kanban Card system and work order creation in ERP system
  • Prepare and stage materials for Operations processing Work collaboratively to resolve issues and remain calm and professional.
  • Effective and clear communication to broad groups of associates, including Management, is a critical component of this position
  • Enforce all applicable purchasing and SOX policies
  • Participate in audit activities as requested
  • Participate in daily tier meetings
  • Participates in projects; CTW, CI, DI Funnel
  • Support Accounts Payable inquiries to resolve supplier payments as applicable
  • Ensure compliance to standard work documents
  • Other duties, as assigned

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate, establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ERP systems experience a plus

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years Purchasing and/or Operations experience (preferred)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current purchasing practices
  • Microsoft Office Experience

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to work on a computer, conduct and attend in-person and/or virtual meetings with internal and external contacts.
  • The employee frequently is required to communicate in a professional manner with other associates both verbally and via e-mail.
  • Able to lift 25lbs for material replacement

Work Environment:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be in an open cubicle environment.
  • Candidate must be able to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
  • Employee must be respectful of others in an open cubicle environment and not speak too loudly as other Team members will be also conducting conversations simultaneously.
