Job Summary/Purpose

Responsible for leading and mentoring internal vegetation management staff within assigned region(s) as well as coordinating contractors in implementation of all vegetation management programs in assigned area.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Schedule, assign and inspect work of Entergy Vegetation Management cotractors. Ensure that all work meets Entergy standards and complies with Entergy safety requirements, guidelines and practices.
  • Develop, maintain and implement annual annual maintenance plans (cycle and herbicide plans) and reactive programs (internal and external customer requests and storm response) in assigned work areas. Monitor reliability and implement improvement plans as needed.
  • Verification and tracking of contractor productivity and invoicing to meet annual O&M and capital budgets for asigned areas.
  • Respond to all customer concerns/complaints timely and effectively as required in reactive in reactive and Conflict Issue Resolution (CIR) processes.
  • Work emergency or storm restoration in assigned area or other areas as needed. Be available for call out at all times.
  • Work with Engineering and Line Departments on estimating, planning and oversight of new capital construction projects. Provide technical support to internal customers as requested.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum education required of the position

  • College degree preferred (Forestry or Environmental Resources related desired) and 2 - 5 years electric utility vegetation management experience or 7 - 10 years electric utility vegetation management experience .
  • Licensed/Certified arborist or utility arborist.

Minimum experience required of the position

7+ yearsof experience in related field.

Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position

Experience in distribution operations and distribution contracator management for safety and process compliance.

Any certificates, licenses, etc. required of the position

Arborist or Utility Arborist License/Cerification; State Certified Pesticide Applicator
