Role Summary
Using efficient methods to consolidate vast amounts of global data, the Operations Data Analyst will search for underlying patterns which best predict outcomes and behaviors. This includes strong interaction with subject matter experts and mangers as needed to best research and communicate conclusions.
The Operations Data Analyst will work with the Global Business Intelligence Manager and Data Architects to support development and deployment of advanced global data analytics. This position requires strong exposure to BI software applications and an ability to communicate with support users.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
  • Provide leadership in designated new project or analytics initiatives
  • Collaborate with project sponsors to determine scope and vision of new projects
  • Conduct appropriate interviews for on-going projects to collect and analyze needs

Technical research
  • Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns
  • Collecting and analyzing large data sets from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Designing and implementing metrics and KPIs to measure operational performance and track progress towards goals.
  • Developing dashboards and reports to effectively communicate data-driven insights to stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize opportunities for process improvement and optimization.
  • Developing and implementing data-driven solutions to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analytics.
  • Ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with data privacy regulations.
  • Proactively identifying and addressing data quality issues.
  • Supporting ad-hoc data analysis requests from various stakeholders.
  • Continuously evaluating and improving data collection and analysis processes to ensure the most relevant and impactful insights are being delivered.

Other Job Elements
  • Preferred* Programming Skills - SQL, Python, and Power Platform
  • Statistics - Familiarity with statistics (tests, distributions, maximum likelihood estimators, etc) and real world application
  • Data Wrangling - Ability to work with inconsistent or incongruent data sets or sources
  • Data Visualization & Communication - Familiarity with data visualization tools including principles behind visually encoding data and communicating information. Power BI expertise is preferred.
  • Data Intuition - data-driven problem-solver with ability to interact with other department team members
  • Multivariable Linear Algebra - Understanding of general concepts and application

Education/Skills/Special Knowledge - College diploma or university degree in the field of mathematics, engineering, statistics, and natural sciences. Minimum of 3-5 year related work experience (including relevant internships).
Experience - Demonstrated knowledge of the organization's core business process and operations.
  • Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development. Microsoft Power BI experience a huge plus.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to apply them to systems issues and products as required.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and project management software skills, including planning, organizing, and managing resources.
  • Excellent understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.

Physical Demands/Work Environment - Office environment; up to 20% domestic and international travel required.
