The Operations Director is responsible for ensuring the audit line of business operates effectively across the Enterprise.

Operations Director -Assurance Support Summary:
The Operations Director is responsible for providing operational leadership to the audit line of business. The incumbent will apply broad, intermediate to advanced project management principles and concepts to large projects, initiatives, and operational priorities and contribute to innovation of new concepts and ideas, and continuous process improvement. In this capacity, the Operations Director is accountable to ensure tools and processes exist and effectively support our audit line of business. The Operations Director is responsible for ensuring the audit line of business operates effectively across the Enterprise.
Essential Duties
Organizational leadership and line of business optimization
- Strategically manage projects and operational priorities for various stakeholders to ensure business needs are met with insight from leadership.
- Work closely with Audit Operations leader, Strategy Execution Director, and audit leadership to operationally plan, devise and execute planning and project management cycles to support milestones determined by leadership to enable development within the channel, industry, or practice infrastructure.
- Represent audit in internal initiatives by driving collaboration with technical counterparts, internal support functions, audit leaders and vendors as necessary to address full client delivery life cycle and operational components. Provide requirements and ensure those are met during the lifecycle of the project.
- Apply knowledge to assess and address operational impacts and needs, incorporating channel, industry or practice nuances within a consistent audit framework
- Work closely with audit industry and channel leadership to optimize client and talent experience.
- Create and execute project plans. Revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. Manage project risks / issues. Recognize and determine the appropriate corrective action to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget and scope.
- Complete assigned projects with minimal oversight; consistently deliver high quality work on time; review own work and the work of others prior to completion.
- Operate in a self-directed manner, identifying and addressing risk mitigation, process improvement, communication, and support needs affecting the successful delivery of client solutions.
- Partner with audit leadership team, strategy execution and operations team, and internal departments (human resources, sales, marketing, finance, legal, NORM, project management, etc.) to develop, implement, and maintain efficient and effective operational support processes.
- Provide ongoing operational support, oversight, and process adherence for assigned service line and firm- wide policy and procedures.
- Continually identify, assess, monitor, and communicate the issues and risks of a project/activity to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Provide hands-on leadership, management, and oversight to troubled initiatives on an as-needed basis.
People management
- Serve as a career advisor, providing consistent and timely feedback on performance and work production of operations team.
- Ensure team prioritization and delegation considering audit line of business need and strategy.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with audit line of business and operations leadership to ensure constant alignment between the needs of the business and the needs of our clients, both internal and external
Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree required
- MBA preferred
TECHNICAL SKILLS AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS SPECIFIC TO JOB
- Advanced Microsoft Office Skills, particularly excel, word, power point, Outlook
- Visio preferred
- Financial analysis
- Applies technical/procedural requirements of the position based on knowledge and experience within specialization
- Ability to work in a large, complex, dynamic organization where a high degree of ambiguity and change exists - required
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees including senior leadership - required

EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of ten years experience working with management level individuals.
- Minimum of five years experience working in a professional services firm; audit preferred
- Minimum of five to seven years working in assigned area with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects
- Previous experience in managing others in a team environment - direct or indirectly
- Experience in navigating in a matrix reporting environment solving/resolving complex issues

- Required to effectively communicate across all levels; knows audience and adapts appropriately, effective facilitation/presentation skills and strong listening skills
- Demonstrated success in influencing and engaging stakeholders, building collaborative relationships while managing conflicting priorities - Required
