This role is designed for a highly autonomous operations leader who thrives in fast-moving, multi-asset environments.
You will oversee and optimize operations across a growing portfolio of real estate and self-storage assets, ensuring seamless execution across teams, vendors, and property managers.
The position requires strong ownership, structure-building capability, and the ability to manage distributed teams effectively.
You will play a key role in improving systems, driving operational efficiency, and supporting the scaling of a dynamic real estate platform.
This is a hands-on leadership role where proactive problem-solving and accountability are essential.
You will also support leadership in reporting, acquisitions onboarding, and cross-functional project coordination.

Accountabilities:

The Operations Director will be responsible for ensuring smooth, efficient, and scalable operations across multiple properties and teams. This includes overseeing execution, improving systems, and maintaining performance visibility.

  • Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple self-storage and real estate assets, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time
  • Coordinate property managers, vendors, contractors, and internal teams to resolve operational issues quickly and effectively
  • Build, refine, and standardize operational systems, SOPs, documentation, and reporting structures
  • Track and analyze key operational KPIs including occupancy, delinquency, maintenance requests, and customer satisfaction metrics
  • Manage task execution across departments while ensuring accountability and follow-through on deadlines
  • Support leadership with operational reporting, strategic initiatives, and project coordination
  • Assist with onboarding and integration of new property acquisitions into existing systems
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and proactively implement solutions to improve efficiency
  • Requirements:

    This role requires strong operational leadership experience, excellent organizational ability, and comfort working in remote, fast-paced environments with multiple priorities.

    • Proven experience in operations management, property management, project management, or business operations
    • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a high ownership mindset
    • Experience managing remote teams, vendors, or cross-functional stakeholders
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain strong execution discipline
    • Experience working with operational tools such as ClickUp, Asana, Monday.com, Slack, and Google Workspace
    • Ability to work full-time aligned with CST business hours (9am–5pm CT)
    • Strong advantage: experience in self-storage, real estate, property management, or hospitality operations
    • Strong advantage: experience managing multiple locations or properties simultaneously
    • Strong advantage: exposure to KPI tracking, reporting, and SOP development
    • Spanish fluency is a plus for candidates based in Mexico
