Operations Financial Manager
Job Description
In your role as Operations Financial Manager, your mission is to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis of business performance, supporting the Business Controller in driving financial excellence in the organization and focusing on process and controls improvement.
If you choose to accept this mission, you will:
- Act as business partner to the Operations team, ensuring full understanding of results / variances and help with the follow-up of any necessary corrective actions.
- Lead monthly financial reviews with Operations team and attend Operations management meetings
- Support Business Controller in ensuring that all reporting and analysis provided to group and the division meets deadlines and is of good quality and are in accordance with "The Way We Do Things".
- Perform in-depth analysis of key P&L areas, looking for variances, errors, trends and propose corrective actions.
- Ensure that adequate internal control processes are in place and that Atlas Copco Group processes are followed in the spirit of "The Way We Do Things".
- Deputize for Business Controller as and when required.
- Work closely with Financial Shared Service Centre, other group companies and division.
Education and experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance or Business Administration
3+ years working experience in Finance in a manufacturing or engineering environment, ideally using Oracle or SAP ERP system
Required knowledge
P&L and Balance Sheet understanding
Understanding of Cost Accounting fundamentals
Understanding of manufacturing processes and how they relate to Finance
Good communication skills across cultures and within a matrix organization
Ideally Oracle experience, SAP manufacturing considered a plus
PC skills: Good MS Office, esp. Excel and Outlook
Fluent English

This role sits within Edwards Vacuum, the CTIP Product company in Haverhill, which is part of the newly formed Semi Chamber Solutions Division within Atlas Copco's Vacuum Technique business area. It provides a complete range of Equipment and value-added services for customers in a range of applications & processes, depending on the market. The customers vary from very large global accounts to small diffuse customers. The division provides products under the Edwards brands.
