Job Description

T-Rex is seeking an Operations Lead to manage the software release of healthcare management solutions to military installations around the world in support of the Defense Health Modernization Systems (DHMS) Joint Operational Medicine Information Systems (JOMIS) Program office. The candidate will work closely with JOMIS leaders/staff and vendors to oversee, plan and execute JOMIS modernization operations . 

The PEO Defense Healthcare Management System (DHMS) is transforming the delivery of health care and advance data sharing through a modernized electronic health record for service members, veterans and their families. The Workforce 3.0 program within DHMS is a managed solution that leverages innovative new processes, methods, and best-in-class methodologies from the private sector to enable the entire PEO DHMS workforce to deliver world-class technology. The DHMS systems provide important health IT capabilities to 9.6 million active duty military, their families, and their beneficiaries. This program supports management of technical deployments, field deployments, and technology training/adoption. Lets talk about how you can help make a difference!

Responsibilities: 

  • Provide direct thought partnership and support to Operations leadership
  • Drive completion of program-level deliverables for the Operations branch, with emphasis on written communications (e.g., slides, memos)
  • Facilitate cross-functional problem-solving and review sessions related to core priority areas, including engagement in product team cadences
  • Provide oversight to day-to-day deliverables within the Operations branch, spanning Deployment, Training, Release Management, and related functions
  • Manage relationships with government stakeholders in Operations as well as the broader program office
  • Support engagement with Service PMO leads and other external stakeholders in driving Operations priorities
  • Support oversight of Operations execution vendors, as requested by gov’t leadership
  • Identify forward-looking opportunities to drive greater Operations effectiveness and efficiency

Requirements: 

  • 10+ years of professional experience, preferably with experience as an Operations Lead supporting large complex DOD or federal customers
  • Experience developing detailed schedules and tracking and reporting status 
  • Experience developing, managing, and executing deployment plans for technology in concert with complex set of stakeholders.   
  • Experience identifying and addressing non-conformance issues 
  • Ability to lead a large, complex team 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 

Desired Skills: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or another similar discipline 
  • Experience developing or delivering technical scope of work 
  • Experience in the health IT industry and with medical devices 
  • Experience at the Defense Health Agency

In compliance with pay transparency guidelines, the annual base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $195,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. T-Rex considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
