We are looking for a highly motivated, team-oriented individual who is passionate about making mental health more affordable and is excited to work on one of Alma’s largest growing initiatives. You will work closely with Alma leadership to manage day-to-day operations of Alma’s Insurance Program while supporting a large and growing team through process change and scale. You will interact regularly with cross functional teams, including Product Engineering, Customer Success, Product Marketing, and People and Culture.Â
The ideal candidate has a bias towards action, with a strong sense of ownership who thrives in ambiguous situations and enjoys the challenge of establishing process in uncharted territories. This Operations Manager will have the unique opportunity to manage one of Alma’s largest teams, prioritizing both a winning team culture while executing on excellent operations to support our providers with a best in class experience. This candidate excels at keeping their team motivated to drive results with existing resources while being able to verbalize the support needed to make our workflows scalable, and champions change management to drive adoption.Â
What you’ll do:Â- Lead and manage the claims side of the revenue cycle team including 7 direct reports and a subsequent team of 50+ remote employees
- Partner with Operations leadership to execute on data driven process changes, optimizing existing workflows for continued hypergrowth and scale
- Manage and support day-to-day operations and escalations of the claims team within Alma’s insurance program
- Collaborate with and support cross-functional teams with escalations by owning, executing, and reporting on identified escalation projectsÂ
- Strategize with the Sr. Ops Manager in the design of workflows and technology roadmap to set Alma operations up for success at scale, and own necessary change management within the teamÂ
- Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly program data and report key metrics to the team and leadership
- 3-4 years work experience, with 1+ years of people management. Ideal backgrounds may include an operations role at a startup, experience with implementation within a management consulting role, or a revenue cycle management role
- Relentlessly organized with meticulous attention to detail and exceptional project management skills
- Strong leadership skills with proven experience managing and leading a team, including developing strong leaders underneath you
- Highly resourceful and efficient at operational process design, improvements, and execution
- Be a team player who can roll up your sleeves to support the team creatively while balancing the management of other projects through ruthless prioritization Â
- Exceptional communication skills that can flex to translate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
- Passionate about mental health and our mission at Alma
- Prior experience in healthcare is a plus

Salary Band: $95,000-$120,000
