Objective of the Position:
Efficiently manage the resources assigned for production in the assigned area, ensuring and being an example of the fundamental principle of quality, using lean manufacturing tools and promoting continuous improvement at all times; living the company values and in strict adherence to BENTELER standards.
Responsibilities and technical skills:
- Implements strategic direction for plant operations with the Plant Manager and the plant management team in alignment with Plant Vision approach
- Responsible for the implementation of Best Practices
- Responsible for Operational Excellence in their area of responsibility, meets or exceeds operations related KPIs on a shift, daily and monthly basis
- Responsible to perform production, maintenance and tool shop activities under consideration of the COMPASS processes and usage of Problem Solving methods
- Uses benchmark data of dedicated technologies to ensure that all operations of the plant are striving for excellence
- Responsible for maintenance of production equipment including MRO
- Manages and oversees all manufacturing related activities in the respective plant in consideration of plant strategic objectives and drives change processes in his area of responsibility
- Provides operational guidance in analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of organizational structure
- Ensures the implementation of a policy deployment process through all levels of his area of responsibilities
- Supports and works closely with global Business Units, Central Functions and members of global/regional Centers of Excellence
- Ensures customer satisfaction by delivering excellent services to the customer, i.e., meets or exceeds customer requirements and expectations in all aspects (quality, quantity, time) in regards to product launch and through life cycle of program
- Complies to federal and statutory rules and regulations, including safety
- Prepares budget and approves expenditures for operating supplies, and human resources, to ensure that materials, labor and equipment are used efficiently to meet production targets and budget
- Ensures that rigorous predictive and preventive maintenance practices are employed to increase efficiency and extend the useful life of capital equipment
- Promotes a respectful work environment and recruits, develops and retains human resources to maintain a qualified, motivated and productive workforce. Leads by example and lives up to BENTELER's mission, values and global leadership principles. Uses standard HR tools e.g. the appraisal process to provide regular feedback and agree upon tasks and goals with respective employees
- Provides support to all activities assigned by the direct supervisor.

- Recorded accident rate
- Non-Quality Costs
- Gate 1 - Gate 7 Production Packs
- Operative KPIs (OEE, GSPH, FTTQ, PPLH, Scrap Costs)
- Maintenance Costs / Added Value
- Overtime costs and hours
- COMPASS LTI
Decision Authority:
- Define the objectives of CIP workshops together with the Plant management.
- Analyze and establish standards for the process and guarantee continuous improvement.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or equivalent
Language(s): Preferred: English - Plus: Spanish and German
