Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the team and is responsible for employee maintenance (forecasting, operational efficiencies, reviews, etc.), including the management and assistance of company growth through guidance and training.
- Build and develop a world-class manufacturing and operations team.
- Strengthen the current measurement systems to accurately report performance of key measurable.
- Responsible for ensuring the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization
- Responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of the process management, production daily scheduling, production quality control and cost improvement methodologies.
- Responsible for ensuring those processes needed for the safety, health and environment and quality management systems are established, implemented and maintained.
- Assist in evaluating current and proposed systems and procedures.
- Recommend change when necessary and assist in implementation of new processes.
- Assist in goal setting, skill enhancement and performance reviews activities for staff
- Investigate and resolve any issues resulting from substandard performance.
- Ability to lead a team of personnel by providing leadership, assistance and advice.
- Manage the assigned financial aspect of the team, which may include subset ownership of the assigned budget.
- Demonstrate positive leadership to teammates and represents oneself as a positive stakeholder in all situations.
- Ensure an affirmative focus and representation of corporate initiatives to all teammates.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- At least 5 years of experience in a related field
- Track record for delivering results (operational results, developing others, retaining high performers, creating a positive, trusting work environment, safety)
- Capable of creating an environment of support and accountability
- Previous leadership and management experience
- Intelligent, effective communicator, works well with others, treats employees fairly
- Track record of building and working in a team atmosphere
- History of successfully developing and coaching direct reports
- Transferable management skills
