Job Description

Summary

Managing the site operations and ensuring that operations are carried out in a safe, economical and satisfactory to all stakeholders involved. To maximize the performance of the site by directing the daily, weekly and monthly activities; providing leadership, motivation, training and development of the workforce; executing against Customer requirements; and operational performance.

Qualification and Experience

  • Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in a supervisor / management role in packaging and/or logistics.
  • Management experience in the transportation/contract logistics industry preferred.
  • Experience in packaging or logistics supervision / management.
  • Basic knowledge of petrochemical industry.
  • Experience in dedicated onsite logistics (preferable).
  • Knowledge of process which is belong with petrochemical industry.
  • Computer literate, especially in MS-Office.
  • Experience with a transport management software preferable.
  • Experience with SAP preferable

  • 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
  • Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check.

Job Tasks

  • Manages and coordinates the execution of all Operations, both drayage as in-plant operations (Bagging/Silo/Warehouse/Container Yard operations) and ensures that operations are carried out in a safe, economical manner and satisfactory to all stakeholders involved. Includes oversite responsibilities of site subcontractors.
  • Communicates with other operations managers to ensure overall site performance is not impacted by individual departments.
  • Organises and controls adherence to the safety standards by all members in the team.
  • Assists in Human Resource aspects of the day to day operation
  • Maintains positive control on OT and does not exceed OT targets
  • Assists in recruiting, evaluation, training and development of personnel
  • Day-to-day management of the drayage and terminal operations
  • Responsible for overall quality and productivity in all operations
  • Promotes and monitors quality service amongst all staff members through training
  • Clarifies job priorities and identifies and eliminates obstacles.
  • Manages a team of Supervisors, Planners and Coordinator and directs them to execute the operations properly, complete with well-defined goals and deadlines
  • Assumes general responsibility for housekeeping and safety of all operations
  • Controls timeliness and correctness of the works in general
  • Ensures the full implementation of the working standard
  • Guarantees that all activities are performed according to the Quality Manual
  • Ensures issue of incident reports
  • Monitors and reports operational performance
  • Defines disciplinary actions
  • Participates in planning meetings
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by management.
