Operations Manager

• Playing an integral role in designing, evangelizing, and executing our operational strategy to exceed company goals and objectives
• Proactively building relationships with financial and banking partners to expand offerings to clients across countries and currencies
• Aiding in constructing a customer-centric, high-performing organization to monitor and ensure our customer accounts are in good standing and that we are exceeding customer expectations
• Recruiting, training, managing, and mentoring a highly-motivated and skilled team of operations analysts and customer champions
• Developing and cultivating relationships across the organization to support strategic operational initiatives

• Have 7+ years of payment and risk operations experience within the banking, fintech, or financial services industry
• Have a bachelor or masters degree in a quantitative field such as finance, statistics, or mathematics
• Have the ability to translate analytical and data driven results into key business and operational recommendations
• Have the ability to apply industry best practices to design, develop and implement operational risk mitigation strategies
• Can demonstrate previous success building and leading a high performing team of operations analysts and customer champions, including recruiting, coaching, and mentoring them on career growth
• Have a good understanding of how much process is the right amount, and a deep conviction to automate everything and anything
• Have a tendency to look at things and see how they can be done better. You’re the sort who obsessively keeps digging until you find the best way to do something, not just the good enough way
• Have exceptional organizational skills, including organizing and directing your team, and prioritizing resource allocation
• Have a reputation as the most organized and detail-oriented person in your peer group. People keep commenting on it like it’s a bad thing, but not here at Paperclip
• Have fantastic communication skills: concise and precise, with the ability to put yourself in the other person’s shoes and realize how you need to explain a concept for it to make sense to that person
