Operations Manager
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Operational execution for all services required of C.H. Robinson Customers
- Drives the safety, efficiency, and accuracy of all operations
- Conducts analysis of workload as compared to manpower and equipment
- Ensures work schedules are in place to promote efficiency
- Implements staffing model to align with workload and labor goals
- Manages KPI's of all departments and drives performance coaching
- Effective at containing costs & managing to a budget
- Management of Operations: Order Fulfillment, Shipping,
- Implements safety and sanitation schedules that ensure the facilities compliance with corporate, OSHA, and AIB standards
- Ensures meetings are held reviewing warehouse issues
- Works with Transportation to ensure smooth flow of inbound and outbound carriers
- Partners with Service Assurance to ensure all customer needs are being met
- Ensures daily pre-shift meetings cover safety, previous productivity, operational opportunities, forecasting workload and any other pertinent company information
- Responsible for the training and development of the team
- Perform gap analysis on all warehouse standard operating procedures
- Participates in department or company meetings
- Assumes responsibilities of Operational Supervisors/Managers on vacation
- Ability to work Monday - Friday 6am - 3pm.
- Ability to work overtime if needed - up to 2 hours per day.
- Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 years of Warehouse operations experience
- Minimum of 4 years people management experience
- High School diploma or GED
- Experience in a high volume/high transaction manufacturing and/or warehousing environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong Excel skills
- Strong statistical and math skills
- Strong reporting and analytical skills
