Performs a wide range of supervision duties to support the Operations department at East Pittsburgh.

What you'll do

• Supervise the East Pittsburgh Plant shop activities involving production, inventory, quality program implementation, safety, maintenance, training, planning, scheduling, statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Plan, organize, control and direct shop personnel to assure coordinated control and allocation of all resources including materials, manpower, equipment and facilities.
• Support and participate in development and implementation of a total quality program and safety program.
• Identify training needs and assure provision of training.
• Suggest, implement and evaluate performance to identify opportunities for continued improvement in quality, safety, costs, and customer satisfaction.
• Provide customers estimating proposals for future work based on mechanical drawings supplied.
• Troubleshoot problems at customer sites.
• Lead and supervise hourly employees during maintenance outages at customer's facilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportion to practical situations.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret and extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Proficient on GSS, Engineering software (CAD/CAM), Word Processing software, and Spreadsheet software.
• Acute attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
