What you will work on
- Management of the Jordan Brand Black Community Commitment grantee portfolio, including budget oversight, forecasting, contract management, processing grant payments and grantee communications.
- Contribute in setting Jordan Black Community Commitment strategic priorities & goals, including the development of related processes for operational excellence. Partner with Nike SCI and GPA peers to align on strategy, process, and planning.
- Management of grant commitments in the SCI platforms for accurate documentation and processing.
- Partner with both internal and external legal counsel to manage templates, support legal execution and ensure enforcement of legal requirements related to grants and contract management.
- Create and implement the development of best practices, grantmaking processes documentation and training materials for the Jordan Black Community Commitment team.
- Manage relationships with external partners, contract execution, Nike SCI and Jordan Brand cross-functional teams.
- Develop new solutions to meet current business needs, maintaining a community focus.
- Collaborate with Jump Management and cross functional teams on elevated storytelling.
- Key player in planning/facilitating Jordan's open call grant programs.
- Provide guidance and leadership around due diligence process for the BCC portfolio.
- Operational support, development and maintenance of process/training materials.
You'll be part of the Global Communications and Purpose team for Jordan Brand, working closely with Brand, external partners, SCI and Jordan Leadership Team, as well as Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors who provide philanthropic guidance and due diligence support. This position reports to the Director, Global Purpose, based at the Nike WHQ in Beaverton, OR.
What you bring
- BA/BS or combination of relevant education, experience, and training
- 6+ years relevant experience in operations, retail, supply chain, project management and/or related field.
- Expertise in contracts and grant management.
- Knowledge management and experience with CRM cloud-based tools. (Salesforce administration, Coupa, Aravo, AirTable is a plus).
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
- Previous business operations experience in the development of best practices, policies, and process improvement. Project and change management experience are preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to structure problems, apply sound qualitative and quantitative analysis, and package conclusions and recommendations through compelling communications
- A deep attention to detail and dedication to accuracy and precision.
- An ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, often ambiguous environment.
- An ability to work and learn independently and collaboratively in diverse teams.
- A willingness to support occasional after-hours effort in support of key initiatives.
