Operations Manager - IKAT Service Team (Hillsboro, OR)
This role is responsible for the Global Intel Account including operational excellence, continuing improvement, and management of the onsite organization ensuring profitable growth of the aftermarket business. Intel has 5 campuses across three continents with substantial planned future growth over the next 3-5 years. The Role:
- To manage all aspects of Onsite Operations and New Equipment Installs to the Intel global campus
- To provide operational direction, strategy, and site performance to four regions and six sites globally
- Drive operational performance across the Intel account, through adoption of VTPS & Shingo principles with absolute focus on safety, quality, delivery, cost and motivation to attain and sustain the best possible standards
- Through operations drive value across the global intel footprint which will support the growth of service revenues through the implementation of customer contracts / knowledge-based services
- To consistently achieve high levels of customer satisfaction, and to identify opportunities to develop and promote Onsite capabilities to meet evolving customer needs, to manage and reduce operational costs effectively, and to ensure that commercial controls for service are in place
- To collaborate with regional Sales, Customer Care, and STC operational teams to ensure that service capability and execution, including execution through STC operations, is aligned with broader business goals
- To drive improvement in Safety and Quality management performance in Onsite service operations through visible leadership and the management of appropriate controls, review mechanisms and improvement processes
- Champions and leads the implementation of continuous improvement across all aspects of the Onsite operations.
- To make Edwards Service "easy to do business with" through clear visibility of capability and anticipated delivery, and consistent and responsive support for technical or commercial enquiries from customers or Edwards personnel.
What We Expect of You?
Education/ Experience
- Requires a bachelor's degree, in relevant technical field such as science, engineering or similar related field
- Minimum 10 years experience managing dispersed teams in technical service or equivalent position
- Experience in Service and or the Semiconductor industry is preferred
Knowledge areas/Skills
- Knowledge of ISO9000, ISO14000 and EHS management systems
- Understanding of VTPS/Shingo principles & development of excellence programs
- Proven ability to successfully manage change in processes and organizations
- Demonstrated ability to influence at a senior level
- Experience of employee development and employee relations management with managerial, professional, technician and semi-skilled personnel
- Excellent communication and orginization skills
- Excellent customer facing skills; adept at building rapport and strong relationships within all levels of an organization
- Awareness & ability to work, influence and manage within multicultural environments
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed
